a half-baked manifesto 🍰

I chose the name half-baked for this blog not just because I love food, but because creativity—like cooking—is a process of consumption and transformation. We live in a culture obsessed with consuming—stories, media, meals, ideas— and just as a cook’s emotions can affect the dish they prepare, I think about the responsibility that comes with creating because in a way you’re feeding someone. Whether it’s through writing, or painting, or making music, what we put into the world becomes something others take in.

half-baked is about ideas that aren’t quite there yet—the drafts still taking shape, the stories simmering in the back of my mind. Sometimes an idea needs time to marinate, and this is where I embrace the messy, unfinished parts of the process.

half-baked is where I share my personal reflections, cultural critiques, and updates from upcoming screenplays and projects I’m working on.

a little bit about me:

I’m a Vietnamese-Bolivian screenwriter and director based in Seattle. I love making apple tarts, cultural commentary, music, and of course, movies. 🎬🎥

thanks for stopping by, i’m so happy to have you here!

love,
